We try to always have one period grand piano in stock at our Antiques Centre in Fakenham.
Our current grand piano is a John Broadwood and Sons boudior grand. Broadwood are one of the oldest and most prestigious piano companies in the world. Their pianos have been enjoyed by such famous people as Mozart, Haydn, Chopin, Beethoven and Liszt. The Company holds the Royal Warrant as manufacturer of pianos to Queen Elizabeth II.
The name on the fall board 'John Broadwood and Sons' was used from 1808-1901. In 1830 the fall board was split into two sections which folded back.
Broadwood started to make boudior and cottage grand pianos in 1834. The rosewood cased model currently in the Antiques Centre is dated between 1865 and 1880.
The piano is priced at £2,250. This price includes local delivery.
Local delivery (ground floor only) is always included in our piano prices. Delivery anywhere can be arranged. Please advise us of your requirements and we can give you a quote.
